A Snarky View (vol 6)

Disclosure: Since the A-Rod Rockne Show is on hiatus until coach Akua29's financial demands are met, the powers-to-be has given the green light to "A Snarky View". This show will hopefully be a sarcastic view of things going on in Rockne. If you are thin-skin, please stop here before your feelings are hurt.

Before we get started, any coach who would like to fill in for the Smart Dog, please send a site mail to the unworthy author listed above. You may also include any topics that you would like to discuss with the Snarky Dog.

Smart Dog: Snarky Dog has taken a fair amount of time (for him) to review all the conferences to forecast how the season will end.

Snarky Dog: It was either get it done or listen to Smart Dog nag me all day long. It wasn't much of a choice. At least I will have a quiet week this week. The "Do Not Disturb" sign is already hanging in place.

Smart Dog: We will take one conference at a time and get the snarky's view on it. Let's start with the CIAA.

Snarky Dog: I think I spent two seconds on this one. Virginia State will escaped past Bowie State and go on to win the conference title. Then again, there's only one human coach there. Has coach Lsteenberg been put in time-out and can't have any friends/coaches over to play with? Just wondering.

Smart Dog: OK, on to the GLIAC that has six human coaches.

Snarky Dog: That's quite a healthy litter. Ferris State have all but locked up the West. The East will be decided tonight between Northern Michigan and Indianapolis. Besides proving the Snarky Dog isn't a homer, Northern Michigan is too strong and will win the East. But the turnover in coaches will cost them as Ferris State wins the conference.

Smart Dog: Another conference with a six-pack of coaches is the GSC.

Snarky Dog: This conference is tough. The South will be decided tonight as North Alabama looks to continue its dominance of Valdosta State and the rest of the GSC. They are currently on a 67-game winning streak. On the other hand, VSU may have their best team under their current coach. Game will go down to the end and shows VSU winning the game and division (yes, I'm a homer). The North is playing to be the opponent to the South's conference title. Nod goes to Harding, but it will be a battle between them, Central Arkansas, and West Alabama.

Smart Dog: Good luck with that one; I hope you got it right. I'm a homer too, la-a-la-la. Now moving on to the LSC.

Snarky Dog: Since there is just one coach in each division, their teams, Central Oklahoma and Texas A&M-Commerce, will both win their divisions. The championship game will provide the opportunity for coach Lsusaint to play against three of his former players. Three isn't enough as TAMC wins easily.

Smart Dog: I hate to bring up this next conference since you have issues with some of their coaches. How do you see the MIAC?

Snarky Dog: I would love to pick Central Missouri State to win the North, but alas, Northwest Missouri State will get it under coach 7's guidance. But the class of the MIAC is still Cheyney and they will add another conference title to their ledger.

Smart Dog: OK, let's take a look at the NCC and see if a rematch is looming.

Snarky Dog: Here's your treat for being correct. Now scam and leave the predictions to me. North Dakota State will take the East and Humboldt State will beat North Dakota for the West. North Dakota State won their first game in overtime. Coach Maldito will take advantage of facing coach Zharkins' offense once and will squeak out the rematch to get the title.

Smart Dog: The NE-10 currently has two teams that are 4-0 in each division. How will this play out?

Snarky Dog: You do know that Long Island reside there, and according to some, is my pet. I like Southern Connecticut against most teams, but Long Island isn't one of them. Long Island wins the East and then get their 8th straight trophy. The West will be a battle between Fairmont State and Stonehill. And the team that gets to be the championship game's punching bag is Stonehill.

Smart Dog: The NSIC has an interesting title game pending. How do you see it going down?

Snarky Dog: Yeah, Winona State has the North and West Liberty State has the South. Another game where coach Lsusaint has players involved. Is he getting ran out of towns or got ants in his pants? Anyways, Winona State will win the conference this season.

Smart Dog: I see you are working on getting more coaches upset with you. Try to be nice in your PSAC predictions.

Snarky Dog: Read the disclaimer. Edinboro will hold off a bunch of Sims and win the West. The East has an impressive trio of Bloomsburg, East Stroudsburg, and West Chester. For those who has been reading "A Snarky View", you know the pick. If you haven't, why now? Too late to jump on the dog's wagon. Since there are a few gray beards out there who may have forgotten, the pick for the East and for PSAC is Bloomsburg.

Smart Dog: Here's an easy one...the RMAC.

Snarky Dog: I am starting to feel like a sleepy dog since it is getting late and now I'm stuck picking between two Sims to win the West. Both teams were previously managed by humans. Tough call but I'm going with New Mexico Highlands. The East is pretty much clinched by Western New Mexico as they get coach Sleepydog02 (no relation) their second straight conference title.

Smart Dog: From an easy one to one of your most difficult choice--the SAC.

Snarky Dog: No surprises among these coaches since three of them have been together forever. The West is Shepherd. The East is between Presbyterian and Tusculum. Since I gave Tusculum a chance earlier and then promised never to go with them again, the pick is Presbyterian. Coach Rposborne has the offense rolling this season and looks tough......but, and you knew a but was coming, coach Dawgnuts has Shepherd on the upswing for several seasons now. I'm riding the Shepherd wave to the title.

Smart Dog: One more conference to go with the SIAC.

Snarky Dog: Currently Albany State and Kentucky State are tied for the North. Once I saw one team has lost to Sims a couple of times, the pick is easy--Albany State. Morehouse has a chance to win the South except they are in their cycle where most of their players are sophomores and freshmen. Therefore Saint Joseph's will win the South and go on and take the conference title for the first time in three seasons.

Smart Dog: That concludes the pickings. Any final words Snarky Dog?

Snarky Dog: You giving me the final words for a change. I just wanted to remind the readers or those that had the article read to them that the Snarky Dog is always right. I can't help if the coaches don't mange their team and game plan correctly. Now I'm off to assist coach OMCS1981 since he needs it if VSU have any chance in beating North Alabama.
