Game 13 of the Night - Season 140

Previous GotN Prediction: St Joseph's 33 - Morehouse 13

Result: St Joseph's 61 - Morehouse 17

Intro/comments/match-up: Team having 44 sophomores and freshmen, no matter how good they will be, are no match against a good team. I thought this game would be more competitive; but unfortunately, it was over at halftime. With the halftime score being 44-3, the only question remaining was how bad would it get. The only category Morehouse won was punt return average. On the bright side, Morehouse will be much better next season and then become a beast the following season.

Tonight, the "smart dog" will be briefly looking at the three games where the teams are playing for the division title.

Team: St Joseph's

Coach: Fla Dave # of Seasons: 4

Roster Breakdown:

Seniors: 12

Juniors: 11

Sophomores: 13

Freshmen: 14

Offensive Formations: I, Notre Dame, Trips

Defensive Formations: 4-3, 4-4, Nickle, Dime

Comments: Coach Fla Dave has St Joseph's in position to win their first conference championship since he came back.

Team: Lane

Coach: Heyunous # of Seasons: 2

Roster Breakdown:

Seniors: 15

Juniors: 10

Sophomores: 16

Freshmen: 9

Offensive Formations: Pro-set

Defensive Formations: 3-4, 4-3

Comments: In just his second season, coach Heyunous has Lane ready to celebrate their first possible conference championship in 38 seasons and just their fifth since football started in Rockne.

Tonight's Prediction: Even though St Joseph's came off a dominating win, Lane will prove to be a much more difficult test. Lane 24, St Joseph's 20.

Team: Glenville

Coach: Dessasdad05 # of Seasons: 5

Roster Breakdown:

Seniors: 8

Juniors: 16

Sophomores: 7

Freshmen: 19

Offensive Formations: Notre Dame, Trips, Shotgun

Defensive Formations: 3-4, 4-4, Nickle

Comments: Coach Dessasdad05 is trying to accomplish even bigger than Lane. Glenville last won a conference championship way, way, way, way, way back in season one. Yes, since Rockne began, Glenville started off big by winning the conference championship and have been try to duplicate it for 139 seasons.

Team: Shepherd

Coach: Dawgnuts # of Seasons: 68

Roster Breakdown:

Seniors: 15

Juniors: 13

Sophomores: 5

Freshmen: 17

Offensive Formations: Trips

Defensive Formations: 3-4

Comments: Coach Dawgnuts and Shepherd went 23 seasons between conference championships and now Shepherd is closing in on their third consecutive title with two more wins.

Tonight's Prediction: Both teams are set for making the playoffs, but may have the unwanted opportunity to knock one of their conference coaches out of the playoffs if they want to win the conference title. Regardless, first thing first is this game and Shepherd continues their chance at three straight by rallying in the second half for an exciting 39-36 win.

Team: Central Arkansas

Coach: Seahawkr13 # of Seasons: 5

Roster Breakdown:

Seniors: 7

Juniors: 14

Sophomores: 16

Freshmen: 13

Offensive Formations: I

Defensive Formations: 4-3

Comments: Coach Seahawkr13 has already had a successful season by getting Central Arkansas into the playoffs for the first time in 98 seasons and only the fourth time ever. Central Arkansas has won two of the last four division titles but has never, ever won a conference championship.

Team: Harding

Coach: Barryjv # of Seasons: 5

Roster Breakdown:

Seniors: 17

Juniors: 11

Sophomores: 11

Freshmen: 11

Offensive Formations: Pro-set

Defensive Formations: 4-3

Comments: Coach Barryjv has to have Harding win this game and then beat #1 North Alabama just to make it into the playoffs. If that happens, Harding will have their first conference championship trophy to put into their empty trophy case. On top of that, it would be Harding second playoff experience. The first happened in season 2 when the well known coach Coach SIM got the team all the way to the semi-finals.

Tonight's Prediction: Harding needs the win more than Central Arkansas and takes advantage of Central Arkansas relaxing from making the playoffs already and pulls out the first of two needed wins 19-17.
