Game 7 of the Night - Season 140

Previous GotN Prediction: Angelo St 38 - Tarleton St 28

Result: Angelo St 23 - Tarleton St 14

Intro/comments/match-up: Although Angelo State had a 430 to 265 yards edge in offense, the game was in doubt until almost to the end. ASU started the scoring on their second possession completing a 9-play, 68-yards touchdown drive. That score stood up until the start of the second quarter when ASU took three passes to move 50 yards and take a 14-0 lead. Two possessions later, Tarleton State finally remember they were playing a game and went on a 50-yards field goal drive. Then on their next possession following an ASU fumble, Tarleton St scored a touchdown from 27 yards out and cutting the deficit to 14-10. Then with just over a minute left in the first half, Tarleton St threw a crucial interception that ASU was able to get a field goal out of despite some bad time management. The third quarter was a back to forth affair with no scoring until Tarleton St tied the game at 17-all on their third possession. Not to be undone, ASU started a drive that continued into the fourth quarter and finished with a touchdown to take the 24-17 lead. Tarleton St kept it competitive by kicking a field goal on their possession. ASU responded back with a time consuming 12-play, 72-yards drive that took 6:22 off the clock and scoring a touchdown for a 30-20 lead. Tarleton St wasn't giving up by coming back with their own touchdown to cut the lead to 31-26 with 3:14 left. ASU finished the scoring with one last touchdown drive to ice the game with a minute and a half left.

Comments: Coach Bigpoppa85 has finished the last two seasons 18-1 with both losses happening in the national championship games. His offensive attack varies from game to game and season to season.

Tonight's Prediction: Pace will have their work cut out for them from having to come up with a game plan based upon a best guess for what Long Island will be doing. Long Island had the advantage with both the numbers of upperclassmen along with higher quality players. All of that will allow Long Island to cruise to a 48-17 win.
