Intro/comments/match-up: Pedro Elliott completes a pass right/middle to Steven Johnson for 50 yards. Those two almost identical plays led to North Alabama's touchdowns on two consecutive possessions. That combination later hooked up for a 52-yard reception. Those were just part of the big game RB Johnson had as he finished with 10 receptions for 238 yards and 2 touchdowns. Take away his production and this game was pretty even. Unfortunately you can't and Coach Fazbear05 and North Alabama improved to 2-0 with their win.

The GotN match-up features two 2-0 teams and a first-time meeting between the two coaches. Saginaw Valley State will be travelling east to take on Southern Connecticut State.

Comments: After 38 seasons where Coach Ojpick took over a terrible program and turned it into a respectable mid-level program that included 33 consecutive playoff appearances and three final four seasons, the coach departed the GLIAC for D-1AA. Coach Vetrun1457 takes over the team after a 40 season layoff from Rockne. He finished his first recruiting class with a respectable 22nd ranked class. Total team roster is ranked #12 so there is a lot of talent to work with. After two games, the team has been pretty balanced on offense. The game tonight will be the first opportunity for all to see how good Saginaw Valley St and Coach Vetrun1457 will be.

Comments: Coach Bce98a is steadily improving his team. After consecutive first round losses, SCS advanced to the second round last season. His team this season looks like it may be a season away from being a tough challenger. The offense has only four seniors starting while the defense is somewhat better with five seniors. The offense has been pretty balanced so far.

Tonight's Prediction: I like this match-up due to the unknown factor of a coach I don't have any experience playing against. Both teams look pretty even to each other. I can see either team winning this game and it may come down to one big play. After considering several factors and trying out a new formula, Southern Connecticut is the pick to win 24-18.
