Smart Dog's Top Ten (12 Games)

This is the opportunity for coaches to determine who are the top ten teams currently in Rockne DII. The top ten will start each season following the five out-of-conference games and continue until the playoffs start. All you have to do is site mail your top ten teams to me by 8 PM CST. Each evening the votes will be computed and the updated top ten will be posted.

Thanks to the additional coaches that submitted their votes today. It was great to see. I appreciate them and will gladly take them and may use them. Unless given the OK by the coach, I am not going to identify who wrote the comments. Again coaches can submit their rankings without comments.

#10 - Humboldt State - previously #10 (tied) - Won 35-13 over #42 North Dakota. Twelve players has caught passes with no one having more than 62 catches. #5 scoring defense.

#9 - Winona State - previously #8 - Won 54-17 over SIM. Loves the 8th spot. Diverse attack--82 passes to RBs, 82 passes to TEs, and 227 passes to WRs. #8 scoring offense. #1 scoring defense.

#8- Western New Mexico - previously #9 - Won 54-7 over #50 Colorado-Mines. Wishbone attack; 2 to 1 rush to pass ratio.

#7 - Long Island - previously #5 (tied) - Won 55-0 over SIM. Waiting for the conference championship. Everyone plays. Three QBs with at least five starts, five RBs with at least two starts, and four WRs with 12 starts each. #3 scoring defense.

#5 (tied) - Cheyney - previously #7 - Won 73-0 over SIM. Top one-loss team. Game with #20 Missouri-Rolla to finish the season. RB Vigil with 2,171 yards rushing and three players with over 80 catches each. #4 scoring offense.

#5 (tied) - Bloomsburg - previously #5 (tied) - Won 87-10 over #138 Kutztown. Spreads the ball around. Four RBs with over 200 yards rushing each. Nine players with between 20 and 60 receptions each.

#4 - Virginia State - previously #4 - Won 30-17 over #29 Bowie State. 38 TDs receiving, 35 TDs rushing. #6 scoring defense.

#3 - Texas A&M-Commerce - previously #3 - Won 63-3 over SIM. Also waiting for conference championship game. Top receiver Church with 175 catches, 2,188 yards, and 15 TDs. #3 scoring offense. #7 scoring defense.

#2 - Morehouse - previously #2 - Won 61-16 over #24 Lane. Top rusher with RB Garrison with 2,545 yards and 27 TDs. #2 scoring offense. #2 scoring defense.

#1 - Ferris State - previously #2 - Won 54-3 over SIM. Back to #1. Waiting for conference championship game and rematch with Northern Michigan. Passing yards - 5241, rushing yards - 978. Four wide receivers over 70 catches each with three over 1,000 yards.
