Smart Dog's Top Ten

This is the opportunity for coaches to determine who are the top ten teams currently in Rockne DII. The top ten will start each season following the five out-of-conference games and continue until the playoffs start. All you have to do is site mail your top ten teams to me by 8 PM CST. Each evening the votes will be computed and the updated top ten will be posted.

#10 - Saginaw Valley State - previously unranked - only loss is to Ferris State, top 15 roster, won 40-37 over #48 Findlay

#9 - Long Island - previously unranked - undefeated, top 15 roster, won 38-8 over #26 Fairmont State.

#8 - Bloomsburg - previously #10 - Wins over Valdosta State and Presbyterian. Won 70-10 over SIM.

#7 - Southern Connecticut - previously #5 - Tough schedule but still undefeated with wins over East Stroudsburg, Shepherd, Northern Michigan and Fairmont State. Won 62-7 over #34 Stonehill.

#6 - Western New Mexico - previously #7 - Solid victories over Glenville, Presbyterian, North Alabama, and Mesa State. Won 66-3 over SIM.

#5 - Virginia State - previously #6 - Defending champions, new coach, team keeps rolling. Top 10 roster and wins against human coached teams ranked 37, 40, 46, 55, and 66. Won 41-28 over #32 North Carolina Central.

# 4 - Cheyney - previously #4 - Wins over Edinboro, Humboldt St, and West Chester and a 20 point loss to Ferris State. Won 83-16 over SIM.

#3 - Morehouse - previously #2 - Two big victories with different type game plans plus 28 seniors. Won 90-6 over SIM.

#2 - Texas A&M-Commerce - previously # 1 - top 10 roster, teams continue to win; maybe not as dominant as they were in championship season. Won 56-17 over #46 Tarleton State.

#1 - Ferris State - previously #3 - Up to top spot. Wins over Cheyney and Saginaw Valley St. Won 60-17 over #55 Indianapolis.
