Game 4 of the Night

Previous GotN Recap:

Prediction: Cheyney - 28, Ferris State - 24

Result: Ferris State - 47, Cheyney - 27

Intro/comments/match-up: Definitely didn't see that score happening. Game turned into Cheyney's running game against Ferris State's passing game. Ferris State finished with an advantage of almost 180 yards and if it wasn't for four field goals and giving up a punt return for a touchdown, the score would have been even more lopsided.

With coaches scheduling meaningful OOC games, an informal hierarchy of the top 10-15 teams is starting to come into focus some. There are still some intriguing match-ups over the next two days that will provide more clues on who's who this season.

Tonight, we have top-5 match-up involving teams that are trying to establish themselves as top-15 teams. #1 Morehouse is going on the road to face #4 Hillsdale.

Comments: Coach Sportsdouche is coming off his first conference championship and a second round appearance. His team is loaded to make a run this season and has passed their first challenge with that resounding win over a talented North Alabama squad. After three games, Morehouse has ran the ball 200 times while only passing it 46 times.

Team: Hillsdale

Coach: Omcs1981 # of Seasons: 7

Roster Breakdown:

Seniors: 20

Juniors: 8

Sophomores: 17

Freshmen: 5

Offensive Formations: I, Trips

Defensive Formations: 3-4

Key Wins: None

Losses: N/A

Comments: Coach Omcs1981 has Hillsdale coming off three consecutive 12-2 seasons, but each ended with first round losses. Hillsdale hasn't been tested yet this season so this game will be a great opportunity to see where they are at. Like its opponent tonight, Hillsdale also favors the run with 177 rushes to go with 95 passes.

Tonight's Prediction: The two teams have a lot of similarities to them starting with their senior heavy class and relying on their rush attack. Which team's defense will be able to stop the other's running game? If that happens, will either team be able to successfully pass the ball? Despite the "smart dog" current losing streak, the dog is going to be brave and show its confidence in picking Hillsdale to win 20-17.
