Game 7 of the Night

Talk about another amazing game. These two heavyweights (Northern Michigan and Ferris State) couldn't settle their differences in regulation. The biggest disappointment was the game got over so quickly with just one overtime. The first half went about how I thought it would with NMU having a 20-6 lead at halftime. NMU expanded the lead to 34-6 just a few minutes into the third quarter. Ferris State returned the kickoff for a touchdown and the comeback was on with Ferris State kicking the game-tying field goad with 2 seconds left in regulation. Ferris State got the ball first and kicked a field goal. At that point NMU woke back up and scored a touchdown and game over.

Hopefully tonight's GotN can be just as entertaining as the last couple have been. The "smart dog" almost stayed in the GLIAC and then gave some thought to both the RMAC and the SAC. After running through the possible games a second time, decided to go to the PSAC and see if #21 Edinboro can snapped their 0-58 streak as they host #17 West Chester.

Edinboro has a second chance to shine this season on the GotN after a disappointing loss against Cheyney. At this point in the season, Edinboro is 5-1 but has a few tough games left. Coach Vhoward415 will need to pull out some of these games to ensure their entrance into the playoffs.

On the other side Coach 2000champOU (hopefully coach will be updating his name in January) is in his 8th season at West Chester. He had his best season so far last season as West Chester made it all the way to the semi-finals. This will be West Chester's first test this season even though the team came off a surprising tough win over Slippery Rock and coach Mojolad (another of my all-time top ten coaches). West Chester runs the Pro-Set and 3-4 formations. The defense has a nice mixture of juniors and seniors. The offense is where I see a potential issue towards making a long playoff run. The team has a red-shirt sophomore and sophomore with two freshmen at running back. Then at wide receiver, there are a fifth year senior with two sophomores and a red-shirt freshmen.

I was going to take the chance and go with Edinboro to stop that streak especially after West Chester's last game. But them I remember the name and am going to play the homer card. West Chester by 10 34-24 (or 62-52 will work also).
