S136 Conference Championship

It's about that time to crown the conference championship for each division. If your team didn't make it, then great season and hopefully you are back at it next year! But if you are still in the hunt, then there is some big fishing to do and a real big one that's still on the loose...

The National Championship!

For tonight, we start it off with a contest for bragging rights. The best of each conference meet to settle it on the field. Who will bring home the trophy to sit on their mantle for the next season?

No time to waste, let's get down to the dirt of things... and make some quick picks!

MIAA

Cheyney is the clear favorite this season and should take down Emporia State handily. In their earlier meeting, Cheyney won 91-0 and I don't see mraston being able to compete just yet with his current talent. It was a great job by Emporia St. to get here, so hopefully they return to push on. Cheyney is going to be a force to deal with in the playoffs.

Cheyney W71-3

SAC

It's hard to go against Presbyterian, I was saying earlier that rposborne has his team playing really well. I think they are very real this year and see them beating Shepherd. Dawgnuts could make this a great game, but Presbyterian is playing too good for it to happen.

Presbyterian W44-23

NSIC

Jibe will have to change it up some if he wants W. Liberty State to stay with Winona in this game. Azcowboy1 has Winona St. playing great and they do have the talent going in their favor. Winona wins handily.

Winona St. W51-27

GLIAC

Spthibodeau is 4-2 versus Coachoatie and it's usually in the CC that he gets his revenge from an earlier loss. This season, they didn't play earlier so that might give Ferris St a legit shot at an upset. Northern Michigan is a beast of a squad though, so even with it being their first meeting, I see NMU bringing it home.

Northern Michigan W35-27

PSAC

Great season to vhoward415 and hopefully they are able to make the playoffs. West Chester is too strong here and won 42-13 earlier in the season. I doubt anything is going to change tonight, so I see the same outcome.

W. Chester W48-10

GSC

This could be Champ83's season to rebound after a few of not making the national championship. He is certainly due and his win over N. Alabama 27-19 was a good sign. Valdosta St. beat Ouachita Baptist 52-7 this season, so brfutt0408 is going to have to pray for a miracle in this one. Miracles can happen though right? Unfortunately, not tonight.

Valdosta St. W58-10

NCC

I really can't wait to see what Bama2448 does with his N. Dakota St team. That's a tough place to recruit out of and finishing his second season, he has managed to produce back to back 12+ win seasons. NDSU is going to be outmatched in this game as Humboldt St. has too much offense for NDSU to keep up. Jaylien1 is on track for a quarterfinal+ run as long as he get some good matches earlier. Being ranked #19, he needs a good win here.

Humboldt St. W65-24

CIAA

North Carolina Central has a little shot in this one if they can get a big first half. It looks like VSU may like to jump ahead fast but slow down in the second half and NC Central could be opposite. Dakjd901 will have his handsful if they want to not repeat the 48-24 loss that they suffered earlier this season. Catfish_Jack is playing some good ball and has Virginia St. in prime position to get a good seed in the playoffs. His excellent game versus Cheyney L29-27 gives them hope of making a deep run.

Virginia St. W41-29

LSC

Texas A&M-Commerce should bring this one home but they did struggled versus Tarleton St. in last seasons 20-5 CC win. In their earlier meeting, TAMC won 52-0 but it should be noted that was lower margin of victory than their regular season game last year. Munchnugget runs a very different offense and you know what you are going to get... about 98% run, all day long.

Texas A&M-Commerce W49-17

SIAC

Albany St. did not play St. Joseph earlier in the season but they did play Ferris St and Morehouse. They lost to FSU 41-23 who is a great team and 17-7 to Morehouse. St. Joseph beat Morehouse 36-25 but lost to Hillsdale 31-30. Hillsdale lost to Ferris St lost to 34-15, so if we tried to compare common opponents, I'd say Tutank has the advantage. I think I just confused myself, but I'm going to say St. Joseph holds strong here wins but not by much.

Saint Joseph W31-24

NE-10

Jpnroos comes in to defend his title after winning it the past 2 seasons. Bigpoppa85 is coming in hungry and wants to take over as the top dawg. Having lost 32-28 to Long Island earlier this season, Jpnroos and Pace are going to have to game plan well to take it back. Pace also beating S. Connecticut after that loss 35-28 and Long Island just beat them 32-28. This is going to be a fantastic game, I can't wait!

Pace W33-31

RMAC

Linux_Box is having one of the more bizarre seasons where you're not quiet sure where to put Midwestern St. in terms of performance. They barely lost to Cheyney and Shepherd but also didn't win by huge spreads versus a few of their conference opponents. So either their conference is getting closer in talent or they played at the top of their ability against the two teams they lost too. I'm going to think it's the RMAC conference is better as a whole and the earlier rankings showed that. Midwestern St. is also performing great on defense and they are controlling the game. Justp3ach3y will have his hands full and needs to do something different. Mesa St. lost in their first meeting 20-3 and if you can't score, you won't win.

Midwestern St. W31-13
