Game 9 of the Night
We are in for a treat tonight as #2 West Chester travels across the Keystone state to face #5 Bloomsburg. Not only is it going to be our Game of the Night, but I predict (being the "smart dog" I am) that this very well could be the game of the night each season in the future.
At West Chester, coach 2000champou is in his 7th season of his second stretch running this always tough program. For the last five seasons, West Chester has been undefeated heading into the playoffs. Coach 2000champou runs Pro-Set and 3-4 formations. His QB and RB has some of the highest formation IQs that I have seen with 96 and 91 respectively. So far this season, his RB has carried the ball zero times. Is that his game plan or is he setting up tonight's opponent or a future opponent in the playoffs?
Bloomsburg has coach JMS245 in his fourth season at the helm. He took over a program that has been coached by SIM for 50 of the last 52 seasons. This is one of several programs I'm watching due to the pedigree of their coaches. Coach JMS245 runs Notre Dame and Pro-Set on offense and 4-3 and Nickel on defense. Unlike West Chester, Bloomsburg's RB has carried the ball 207 times so far in a fairly balanced attack.
I was extremely close to choosing Bloomsburg to pull off the upset, but then I remember the name of the West Chester's coach and just couldn't pick against him (at least this season). West Chester behind coach 2000champOU wins 20-16.
