Game 7 of the Night

Well the "smart dog" didn't do very good last night. Where I thought Saginaw Valley would win fairly easily, it was Findlay that got the convincing win. So now the pressure is on to start a new winning streak.

The WIS rankings are still going thru a lot of changes, probably more so than normal. Looking thru all the conferences' scoreboards for tonight's games, there are 16 games involving human coaches on both sides. Tonight's selection for the Game on the Night comes from the Northeast 10 conference--#30 Long Island at #13 Pace.

Long Island is ran by a coach who has more than 2,000 victories in WIS along with 13 National Championships. This includes his latest in Leahy world where he knocked off another top coach who was the current multiple seasons defending champion. Coach Bigpoppa85 is currently building Long Island back up to when Coach Scrodz won three titles during his regime. I don't know if Coach Bigpoppa85 is trying something different since he has all formations on offense and defense available to him. Since he is in his second season, I'll be watching if he narrow down his formations over the next couple of seasons. This is his fifth game against human coaches this season. He has won three of the first four; although those coaches are early in their tenures too.

Pace has Coach Jpnroos in his fourth season. He took over a team that was managed by SIM for 15 seasons before taking over. He has played one human coach so far and won that game handily. He plays only the I formation for offense and both 4-3 and Nickel on defense.

Based upon the rankings Pace University should be the pick, but since I know how dangerous coach Bigpoppa85 is to match wits against, I'm going with Long Island. With him taking over a team that has had human coaches continuously since season 98, that advantage will lead to a convincing 48-14 win.
