Game 9 of the Night

Congrats to Coach Jibe and West Liberty St for their stunning "upset" over Bemidji St. That being said, I'm done this season in choosing West Liberty St as a Game of the Night participant. Sorry grapes--yep. I picked him to win and he loses badly. Then I picked him to lose and he wins. Two losses and I have learned my lesson. Good luck the rest of the way Coach Jibe.

Another undefeated team lost yesterday bringing us down to 14. With two games tonight featuring undefeated teams on both sides, we are sure to be down to at least 12 after tomorrow. Despite the option of choosing either of those two games, I'm going with the better matchup of #11 Valdosta State (8-0) (and proud home of Moody AFB) at #8 North Alabama (7-1).

Coach Champ83 is in his 12th season at VSU and has an impeccable 102-0 conference record so far. He also has had the team in the national title game three times and another four final four appearances. He's somewhat unique in that he has a top team each season while playing all offensive and defensive formations.

At North Alabama, Coach Fazbear05 is in his 2nd season. Team has played a decent schedule so far with their only blemish being a 3-point loss to #3 Presbyterian. Team practices ND, Pro-Set, and Trips on offense and 4-3 on defense. The team's makeup consists of seniors from the previous coach, juniors from the wholly popular SIM, and then his sophomores and freshmen.

Odds are Valdosta State has to eventually lose a conference game, tonight will NOT be the night. It will be a long night for North Alabama as VSU scores early and often in a dominating 49-10 victory.
