Game 2 of the Night

Tonight's feature match-up was a no-brainer when you have the past two national champs facing each other--preseason #4 Cheyney at #13 Ferris State.

Coachoatie is in his fourth season and is putting his mark on Ferris State. Except for three red-shirt seniors, the remaining players were all recruited by him. On offense, the depth behind the starters are very young and could be a factor. The OL has only two backups; although, they are both sophomores. The depth on the defensive side is better.

Waregl72 has started his third season and is the defending national champion. He has much better depth on offense, but the defense could be an issue. With Cheyney playing all nickel, having a red-shirt freshman and two freshmen as the backups in the backfield, pass defense could be the difference.

I admit I don't know much about either coaches, I do know the previous coaches (Loverboy and Robust Trex) were both outstanding recruiters and coaches. Based upon Cheyney having more players from the previous coach's regime, I'm picking Cheyney to win by 20.
