Game of the Night

I'm going to pick a game each evening and give my thoughts on it.  The game could be the best matchup or just the most interesting or one based on a friendly (or non-friendly) rivals between the coaches.  

Tonight's Game of the Night...Hillsdale vs Tusculum

Even though it is preseason this is turning into a little bit more than a preseason rivalry.  In the past, this author/coach has had some issues with coach Clememp.  Now there is mutual respect on both sides; although I really want to beat him, even in preseason.  Unfortunately, Hillsdale has too many freshmen to challenge Tusculum tonight.  Tusculum by 14.

And now to Game One of the Regular Season...#16 Fort Lewis at #6 Saint Joseph's.

Saint Joseph's is a consistent top 10 team.  You would have to go way back to season 104 to find Saint Joseph's finishing out of the top 10.  Coach Tutank is starting his 7th season.   Team will have to work at keeping its streak going this season with only nine seniors.

Fort Lewis is led by Coach Jong44 who is starting his second season at the helm.  The coach has definitely gave his team a tough out-of-conference schedule with Saint Joseph's, Northern Michigan, and Edinboro.  He does have 15 seniors on his squad and may need them all to survive his beginning schedule.

The pick here is Fort Lewis in an upset.  They need the victory more and I'm going with the advantage of having more seniors.
